Obituary for Keith Crow

Keith Crow, age 61, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Keith was born January 4, 1956 in Atlanta, Texas to Bro JW and Emily Crow. He was a member of the Atlanta High School Class of 1974 and graduated from East Texas State University in 1979. More recently, he was the owner of Keith Crow Realty; had served as the current Mayor of Atlanta since 2006; was a member and past president of the Atlanta Lions Club, and was a member of any board or initiative that would help advance the City of Atlanta. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta where he sang in the First Praise Adult Choir and Boundless Love Quartet. He was awarded the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year award in 1985.

Keith deeply loved God, his family and friends, and the town of Atlanta, Texas. He was most proud of being a dad to his son Blake and daughter Lauren; he loved them unconditionally and always showed them his love for the Lord. He was a devoted and loving son and the most loyal best friend of a brother. He had a great love for music and sharing the gospel through singing and used this talent to bless many over the years. He was willing to be there for anyone at any time, and would never think twice about going out of his way to help someone. He showed selfless love and devotion in all that he did. And, it was only fitting that he became Mayor of his beloved town in which he invested so much of his time and talent.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Crow. He is survived by his father, JW Crow of Atlanta, Texas; son Blake Crow and Rachel McCoart of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Lauren Crow of Atlanta, Texas, brother Johnny Crow and wife Connie of Atlanta, Texas; sister Elaine Johnson and husband Joe of Atlanta, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews that he considered his grandchildren; Courtney and Will Mayfield and family of Tyler, Texas; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The family wishes to thank Atlanta Memorial Hospital and specifically Dr. Bo Price for such loving care and service as well as extend thanks to the many friends and loved ones who have shared condolences and memories and sent food, flowers and memorial donations.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Atlanta under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Wes Mills, Bro. James Williams and Bro. Dale Perkins officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
