Obituary for June R. Gunter

June R. Gunter age 92, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in a Texarkana, Texas Hospice Home.

Mr. Gunter was born October 10, 1925 in Paxton, Texas. He was retired from the Texas Highway Department in Atlanta, Texas, served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Gunter.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Gunter of Atlanta, Texas, Stephen Gunter and wife Judi of Atlanta, Texas; two grandchildren, Jason Gunter and wife Robin of Richardson, Texas, McKenzie Gunter of Texarkana, Texas; one great-grandson, Grayson Gunter of Texarkana, Texas; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wes Mills and Rev. Jeff Schreve officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.

The family of June Gunter will be at FM 2328 North off of Hwy 59 South, the first house on the right when you pass Laws Chapel United Methodist Church.
