Obituary for Hazel Chamblee Jaynes

Hazel Chamblee Jaynes, age 92, of Center Hill, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 2, 2018, in an Atlanta, Texas nursing home.

Hazel was born October 10, 1925, in Cass County, Texas, to A.D. and Retter Chamblee. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with kids and grandkids hunting, fishing, and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Junior, Shorty, Jimmy Ray, and Dicky Chamblee; three sisters, Doris Moore, Polly Giles, and Joann Clayton.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ollie Jaynes of Center Hill, Texas; three sons, James Lee Yancey of Atlanta, Texas, Gary Shelton and wife Joyce of Atlanta, Texas, Keith Shelton and wife Marie of Bivins, Texas; sister, Sue May and husband Don of Linden, Texas; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Center Hill Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. John Givens officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 pm – 8 pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Center Hill Cemetery.
