Obituary for Georgia "Peach" Hays

Georgia Hays, age 80, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 25, 2017, in an Atlanta, Texas nursing home.

Georgia was born February 22, 1937, in Ravanna, Arkansas, to Luther and Alma Stanton. She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary Tabernacle, and enjoyed crafts and crocheting. She loved baking, making wedding cakes, cooking for her grandchildren, and was known as a very loving and caring person. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Claudy Hays; son J.D. Hays; daughter, Betha Evans; son in law, James T. Evans; sister, Irene Lawrence; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters; Sherry Antee and husband Willie of Queen City, Texas, Anita Shew and husband Wayne of Linden, Texas; sons, Tony R Hays and wife Margaret of Queen City, Texas, Brian Hays and wife Donna of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister, Glenda Jean Taylor of Atlanta, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August, 29, 2017, at Calvary Tabernacle, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Billy Dupree officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 pm – 8 pm, Monday, August 28, 2017, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Courtland Cemetery, Queen City, Texas
