Obituary for Dean W Hopper

Dean Hopper age 84, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at his residence.

Dean was born February 18, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Vernon and Nellie Hopper. He was retired from Continental Baking Company and a member of First United Methodist Church, Atlanta, Texas. His hobbies included making and collecting model trains, woodworking, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Stanley Hopper.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Melba Hopper of Atlanta, Texas; four daughters, Debbie Cripps and husband Harry of Mandeville, Louisiana, Sharon Pichon and husband Kevin of Mulberry, Florida, Lisa White of Dallas, Texas, Kim Schiro and husband Jake of Slidell, Louisiana; a sister, Doris Moormann of Olathe, Kansas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces, Janice and Jackie; and a number of other beloved relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jacob Smith officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Laws Chapel Cemetery.
