Obituary for Rev. James L. Wall

James L. Wall, age 91, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his residence.

James was born July 12, 1927 in Cass County, Texas, to Lester and Gladys Wall. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, a retired pastor serving many churches in the Ark-La-Tex for over 30 years. James served many churches as a supply preacher and interim pastor after his retirement. He loved fishing, gardening, camping, and working in his shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Hughes Wall of 52 years, wife Bobbye Feasel Wall of 17 years; daughter Dianne Wall; two brothers, Olen “Pete” Wall, George Wall; and sister, Laura Kesterson.

He is survived by his son, Jim Wall and wife Mona of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Donna Carter of Texarkana, Texas, Debi Green of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Charles “Cooter” Wall and wife Becky of Texarkana, Texas; sister, Betty Davis and husband Art of Emory, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Huffines Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Gene Parker officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 pm – 8 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Huffines Cemetery
