Obituary for "Poncho" Hodges

Garner Franklin Hodges, age 62, of McLeod, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 27, 2018, at his residence.

Garner was born July 25, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Nance and Willie Hodges. He was retired from the oilfield and a member of Champions Bible Church, Atlanta, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, collecting guns, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elizabeth Hodges, Andrea Hodges Clark, Tammy Hodges; and brother in law, Daniel Clark.

He is survived by three daughters, Chastity Hodges Beck of Texarkana, Texas, Jamie Hodges Fouse and husband David Mitchell of Idabel, Oklahoma, Melissa Hodges Pease and husband Justin of San Diego, California; son John Hodges and wife Naomi of Atlanta, Texas; sister, Georgetta Hodges Fagan and husband Michael of McLeod, Texas; nine grandkids; three great grandkids; special friend David Lawson of Bivins, Texas; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Huffines Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Mark Hill officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Huffines Cemetery.
