Avenell Plum, Known to her friends and family as “Nell”, best known as the Avon Lady to her town for just shy of 60 years. She dedicated much of her life to Avon and sacked thousands of orders over the years. She loved dressing up, wearing seasonal brooches and jewelry, collected Miss Ablee’s and many other Avon awards. Nell was a member of President’s Club, Rose Circle, and was honored during district meetings. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Queen City and when in good health, she never missed her Sunday school class. She enjoyed traveling to many different countries, trips with her church family, and gardening. Birthdays and anniversaries were meticulously kept on her calendar and she was a quite proud to surprise many with yearly cards.

Nell loved fish fry’s, playing dominoes with friends and family and baking her famous blueberry or coconut cakes. For many years she crocheted and provided blankets for family and friends.
