Obituary for Johnene Harrison

Johnene Harrison, age 84, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 16, 2018, at her residence.

Johnene was born February 24, 1934, in Ellisville, Mississippi, to Claud and Myra Boykin. She was retired from International Paper in Mississippi, Rose Haven Retreat in Atlanta and was a Baptist by Faith. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, reading, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hommer Harrison; and sister, Kathlene Pilgrim.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lawson and special friend Tevis Pappas of Atlanta, Texas, Mary Harrison Johnson and husband Richard of Redwater, Texas; two brothers, Hilton Boykin and wife MaryAnn of Mossell, Mississippi, Carol Boykin and wife Nikki of Mossell, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Melissa Lawson of Wake Village, Texas, Kristy Savage Bramwell and husband Michael of Bivins, Texas, Chelsea “Toney” Reeh and husband Logan of Bryan, Texas; five great grandchildren, Blake Scott, Brooke Scott, Britani Mangrum, Mitch Savage, Dylan Savage; five great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be 2:00, Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Atlanta Church of Christ, with Bro. Jon McCormack officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
