Obituary for Jeanneta Cook Swink

Jeannetta Cook Swink age 85, of Rodessa, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at her residence surrounded by family.

Jeannetta was born February 16, 1933, in Huffines, Texas, to Johnie Lee and Viola Cook. She was a homemaker, loved making crafts, fishing, dancing, and spending time with her family and grandkids. Jeannetta was knowns as a fabulous cook, teaching the girls in the family the art of pie making (meaning make your own crust), and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life for 65 years, her husband Travis Swink; three brothers, J.D., Dude, and Buddy; three sisters, Vernie “Bill”, Bernice “Sugar”, and Hazel.

She is survived by two sons, Travis “Lucky” Swink and wife Lisa of Rodessa, Louisiana, Pete Swink and wife Tracy of Muskogee, Oklahoma; daughter, Debra Ramsey and husband Dennis of Granbury, Texas; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Huffines Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Tim Brown officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 pm – 8 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Huffines Cemetery.
