Obituary for James Luther Pemberton

James Luther Pemberton, age 66, of Bivins, Texas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family.

Jim was born December 1, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Eugene and Jeane Pemberton. He was retired from the Dallas Garland North Eastern Railroad; and was a member of Savannah Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time collecting railroad memorabilia, antiquing, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Jeane Pemberton; and by a sister, Jeanne Hale.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Pemberton of Bivins, Texas; daughter, Jami Hudgens and husband Wade of Hallsville, Texas; brother, Mike Herzog of Clifton, Texas; five sisters, Lois Hamby of Forney, Texas, Linda Gilchrist of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sharron Tucker of Kemp, Texas, Vickie Reites of Crandall, Texas, Sondra Trease of Westville, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Hunter Hudgens, Dylan Bradshaw, Carsyn Hudgens, Olivia Hudgens, Peyton Winner; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Givens and Billy Pemberton officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
