Obituary for Gladis Ebert

Gladis May Cato Davis-Ebert, age 85 of Avinger, Texas went to be with the Lord Friday, September 15, 2017 in a Hughes Springs, Texas Nursing Home.

Gladis was born May 5, 1932 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Bassie and Emeral Cato. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Avinger. She enjoyed spending time fishing, playing card games and video games. She was preceded in death by her husbands, G. W. Davis, Wesley Ebert; son, Ernest Davis; brothers, Howard Cato, Thurman Cato; her twin sister and parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Fay Rowe and husband Roy of Daingerfield, Texas, Jennifer Johnson and husband Carl of Avinger, Texas; two sons, C. W. Davis and wife Theresa of Hughes Springs, Texas, Howard Ebert and wife Sharon of Avinger, Texas; two brothers, Halbert Cato of Avinger, Texas, Van Arthur Cato of Celeste, Texas; sister, Katherine Ebert of Hughes Springs, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 22, 2017 in Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Terry Wayne Hargett and Carl Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
