Obituary for Georgia E. Bailey

Georgia E. Bailey, age 81, of Vivian, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 6, 2017, in an Atlanta, Texas nursing home.

Georgia was born September 14, 1936, in Lelia Lake, Texas to Thomas and Eloise Lance. She was retired from secretarial work and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing, dominoes, bridge, board games, and watching Jeopardy. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Bonds; sister, Marie Barnaby; and a grandchild, Crystal Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Bailey of Vivian, Louisiana; son, Steven Bonds and wife Teresa of Pflugerville, Texas; Kimberly Taylor and husband Thomas of McLeod, Texas; brother W.D. Lance and wife Veneda of Atlanta, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Joshua, Chace, Jarrod, Brandon, William, Kayla; one great grandchild, Gabriel; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

Services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Smyrna Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Gene Parker officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Smyrna Baptist Church.

Interment will be Smyrna Cemetery
