Obituary for Chris Clayton

Chris Clayton age 47, of Bivins, Texas went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Chris was born August 10, 1970 in Atlanta, Texas. He was employed with International Paper; a member of Huffines Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Storm. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, camping and coaching baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Clayton of Bivins, Texas; son, Dillon Clayton and Jessica of Uncertain, Texas; daughter, Angerie “Nyki” Jeans and husband David of LaVergne, Tennessee; his mother, Charlotte Clayton of Atlanta, Texas; father, Bobby Howard and wife Kim of Queen City, Texas; two brothers, Jeremiah Howard of Nash, Texas, Josh Howard of Atlanta, Texas; two sisters, Erin Rowe of Texarkana, Texas, Emily Howard of Queen City, Texas; two grandchildren, Brooklynne and Brayson; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Smyrna Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Gary Terry and Bro. Gene Parker officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Watson Cemetery.

Those wishing to memorialize Chris may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, American Legion or Veteran’s for America.
