Obituary for Aubrey Clifford Allen

Aubrey Allen, age 90, of Douglassville, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at his residence.

Aubrey was born September 24, 1926, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Almer and Maud Allen. He was a retired from Red River Army Depot a member of the Douglassville Methodist Church and the Antique Car Club of Texarkana. He was a cattleman, loved reading, deer hunting, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bonnie Allen

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Allen of Douglassville, Texas; sons, Ronnie Allen of Douglassville, Texas, Donald Allen and wife Venita of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughters, Carol Ann Allen of Richardson, Texas, Laura Beth Allen of Douglassville, Texas; sister in law, Ann Allen of Tyler, Texas; seven grandchildren, Stephen Allen, Kimberly Pereira, Mary Carol Allen and husband Beezly, Jennifer Knox, Robert Taylor Knox, Katherine Knox, Emily Starr Knox; two great grandchildren, Landry Pereira, Josiah “Jed” Fleming Allen; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

Services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Douglassville Methodist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. James Knight officiating.

Visitation will be from 6pm – 8pm, Friday, July 14, 2017, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Douglassville Cemetery.
