Murl V. Lawrence, age 95, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2012 in a Texarkana hospital.

Murl was born April 16, 1917 in Miller County, Arkansas. He was retired from J.B.L. Auto; and was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Lawrence; and by his parents, Dallas and Ouida Lawrence.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Buxton of Michigan; one daughter, Patsy Bucks of Houston, Texas; two step-sons, Roy Chandler of Atlanta, Texas, Bernie Chandler of Florida; two step-daughters, Kay Riley of Atlanta, Texas, Sandy of Lufkin, Texas; four sisters, Virginia Stuckey of Doddridge, Arkansas, Betty Loper of Atlanta, Texas, Gaynell Tidwell of Texarkana, Arkansas, Bobby Martin of Ponder, Texas; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital; or to Autism Research.
